Dear Parents and Caregivers,
The Cedar Cottage staff and board wish to thank all of our families for their understanding and support during this very difficult time. We are doing our best to ensure that our staff, the children and the families are safe and healthy.
Precautional measures to maintain safety (as per the BC Centre for Disease Control) have been in place and continue to be monitored since the COVID-19 Pandemic was announced. Today, we are making the following changes in our continued effort to keep everyone safe.
Starting on Monday, March 23rd until March 30th:
- All 5 sites will continue to operate (Secord, Selkirk, Beaconsfield, Cedar Cottage and Dickens)
- Child care will only be open from 7:30 – 5:00
- Caregivers will be met at the door of each site to drop off and sign in/out their children.
- Cedar Cottage staff will be gathering information to make the best decisions for on-going child care service. One of those questions will be to ask about the reason that child care is needed. It is our plan, that child care will be in place only for those who need the service.
On March 27th, there will be a Cedar Cottage Child Care update to provide our on-going plans. This will include information on fees, spaces, sites, programs and any registration changes. I appreciate your patience as we try to make the best decisions for everyone.
