Family drop-ins for ages 0-5
Family Drop In programming focuses in the areas of food security/nutrition education and social-emotional learning for children and parents/caregivers and promoting early childhood literacy. Connects parents/caregivers to local resources, providing parenting workshops, cultural activities and early learning activities.
The promotion of early childhood literacy is a core aspect of all drop-in programs through the hands on activities, take-home resources and key messaging to parents and guardians.

Indigenous Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) Program
The Indigenous HIPPY Program uses a mother-to-mother approach to deliver home visits and group meetings for parents of young children (age 18 months to 5 years old) of Indigenous ancestry.
Indigenous HIPPY is a 30-week long program for parents/caregivers who want to help their children be more ready to enter and succeed in school.
Parents/caregivers receive free culturally appropriate educational material and guidance which is proven to help strengthen familial bonds and pride in Indigenous cultural identity.
The Indigenous HIPPY Program is in partnership with Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre, Helping Spirit Lodge Society, Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House, Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House, and the Mothers Matter Centre.
